GRADES 2024 SOUTH EAST REGIONAL COMPETITION RESULTS
Well done to all the gymnasts who competed at the South East Preparation & Development Grades at CNGA this weekend. In the Preparation Grades, Ava Traves competed in her first competition in Preparation Grade 1. Ava performed amazing for her first event. Ava did a super vault, bar, ranges, beam and floor routine. An amazing effort from this young 7 year old pictured below during her first floor competitive performance. Well done Ava!!
In Preparation 2, 8 gymnasts represented CNGA. All gymnasts put every effort into their routines and their overall scores reflected in them achieving either a Working At, or Working Above level. This is a new grading system for British Gymnastics and the girls managed to perform their routines on all 5 apparatus. We are so proud that the girls managed to achieve this category at this new Grading.
The new system does not have a ‘pass’ or ‘fail’ category as in previous years. The new system is categorized by the total score achieved as shown below
Working towards the grade: Score 49.9
Working at the grade level: Score 50.00
Working Above the grade level: 55.00
Working Beyond the grade level: 60.00
As mentioned, all our girls managed to achieve either a ‘Working At’ or ‘Working Above’ category.
A huge well done to these amazing young gymnasts, who although did not quite manage a top 6 position at this competition, performed amazing routines on the weekend. Pictured below are the gymnasts in their stunning new leotards. Pictured left to right back row: Georgina, Avalyn, Millie, Lacie, Evie, Leah. Front row: left to right: Roksana, Ava, Anastazja.
Well done girls! Full Results will be available on the Welsh Gymnastics Results page in the next few days!
In the Development Grade 1 Competition, 2 gymnasts represented CNGA. Sophia Matthews and Lolita Klusevich. Both girls performed great routines on all 5 apparatus. Lolita managed to secure gold medal position on the vault, with her dynamic energy and thrust off the vaulting table. Sophia managed to secure gold medal position on the floor exercise. Her routine was beautifully performed and choreographed by CNGA Senior Coach and Director Tina. Sophia displayed beautiful artistry throughout and technique in the skills. Well done to both gymnasts for their fantastic achievements at the competition.

On the floor exercise, Alys achieved 5th place, Eve achieved 3rd place and Moridiat achieved gold medal position.
