Our coaches are fully qualified through British Gymnastics and continue to support our Academy.
Tina Marenghi
Tina brings an excellent standard of artistic gymnastics coaching to the Academy – being a former Commonwealth Games gymnast herself and senior ladies Welsh Champion she has exceptional coaching qualities and is aware of the requirements of the competitive girls to achieve the highest standards in our sport. Tina is a level 3 Women’s Artistic Coach and has represented Wales at the highest level of the sport at numerous Internationals and has also been a member of the British Squad.
Marcel Marenghi
Marcel also brings an excellent standard of coaching experience to the club. Marcel started his gymnastic journey in September 1970 at the age of 8 with Newport Youth Gymnastic Club. He represented Wales at junior level and started coaching in 1980. Marcel has coached and run 6 gymnastic clubs successfully in the UK and overseas. Marcel is a level 3 Men’s Artistic coach, level 4 Women’s Artistic coach and has attended the level 5 High Performance Coaching course. He is British Gymnastics Tutor/Assessor and currently supports Welsh Gymnastics in assessing level 1 and level 2 coach candidates. Marcel brings a wealth of experience, dynamism and expertise to the Club.

The Academy continually needs coaches, leaders and volunteers to support current and future classes and events at CNGA and to fulfil its aspirations as an Academy. Everyone is welcome to apply for these positions and applications will be processed in line with Welsh and British Gymnastic Policies.

*Occasionally competition squad gymnasts are trained on weekends leading up to a competition.
Weekends are mostly reserved for parent and toddler classes and CNGA/Welsh Gymnastic events/courses throughout the year.
